Victorian Grand Terrace
De Montfort Court is a splendid late Victorian Grand Terrace, designed in 1879 by the distinguished Leicester architect Isaac Barradale (1845-1892) whose style was Arts and Crafts and who was notable for the use of timber, and tall gables.
It was a block of four townhouses and was converted (not entirely sympathetically) into twenty-five flats in the late 1970s. It is one of the major buildings on some Tours of Victorian and Edwardian Stoneygate.
